Uploading web files to a subdomain using FTP:
- Open your FTP client and connect to your hosting account using your FTP username and password.
- Once you're connected to the server, navigate to the public_html directory.
- Within the public_html directory, you will find the folder named after your subdomain. The path to this directory should be public_html/subdomain_name.
All web files need to be uploaded to this directory in order to be displayed on the subdomain.
Uploading web files to a subdomain using File Manager in cPanel:
- In cPanel, under Files, click File Manager.
- On the File Manager interface, double-click on the public_html folder.
- Find the subdomain from the list of available folders. Double-click to open the subdomain folder.
- You can proceed with uploading your web files to the subdomain folder using the Upload function.
NOTE: If the subdomain is created using an addon domain, the subdomain's document root will be created inside the root directory of the addon domain, for example:
public_html/addon_domain_root/subdomain_root
